Live Sculpting at WildClaw Theatre Benefit...

I've been so swamped with projects that I am very late in posting these. This is the creature I began sculpting at WildClaw Theatre's Dance of the Demented benefit on February 20th at the Viaduct Theater in Chicago. I started with only my quick 15 minute sketch before I left and an armature. About 2-3 hours of sculpting at the event from beginning to this point. Right now, this guy is still a work in progress and still has a long way to go. I haven't touched him since the event, but look forward to finishing him as soon as I get the chance between projects.

15 minute quick sketch

Here is some footage someone took from the event... I was caught by surprise... but you can see me and several other amazingly talented artists at work!

Overall, it was a blast just getting lost in the work, free from any deadlines or obligations. Plus, there were so many other great artists there painting and sculpting. It was great to see familiar faces and meet some new ones, getting inspired everywhere I turned.

I hope to have a finished sculpture of this creature very soon,
so check back for updates!

Cool stuff you have here and nice face impression on the last photo, the picture seems like "mad genius artist at work in a dark castle".
